I am Esmee Samara and I invite you on a journey of self-discovery through the use of the unique Pilates system which addresses your body as a whole, through stretching and strengthening exercises.
Pilates is suitable for all ages and fitness levels to help build a strong physique upon which to build
their fitness, and is often used in rehabilitation programs.
Pilates teaches you to connect your mind and body. In the hustle and bustle of modern-day life and the impact of technology - with its ever-growing demands upon our time and bodies - the importance of practicing mindfulness to manage stress has never been more urgent.
Mindfulness practice, combined with Pilates, is the perfect way to rebalance and relieve the
tension and tightness that the body and mind carries.
As the nation copes with the impact of Coronavirus, my mission is to keep encouraging everyone to stay physically and mentally fit, to come through this period of time, with renewed vision and focus, not only with a strong body and mind, but a stronger sense of community and connectedness. I am in the process of building my online classes, shooting YouTube videos and content to keep you moving and motivated. I am going to build an 'online tribe with a positive vibe.' Coming soon will be the opportunity to subscribe to further online content, classes and link in with your own Pilates and Mindfulness Community via Facebook Groups and other means currently being in prepared.
These are tough times. And, as Billy Ocean once sang many moons ago.... ‘When the going gets tough, the tough getting going’
This is the time for love, understanding and compassion. To reach out and support our friends, families, communities, and our Front Line Services. To take our individual and social responsibility seriously, and act with wisdom and integrity.
We have to embrace the uncertainty ahead. We have to keep our minds as well as our bodies flexible. If we don’t, we truly will get bent out of shape. We have to sit with the uncomfortable process. And remember that true strength comes from patience and perseverance in hard times.
This will be my longest break from teaching in the community for almost 20 years. However, as some of you know, I also work as a Hospital Social Worker Part-time.
I can honestly say I have never felt more humbled and inspired by the dedication of the Nurses, Doctors, Therapists, Health Care Assistants and many other hospital staff. We absolutely need these professionals right now to be there for us, and they need us to be there for them.
So let’s keep giving 💯 percent to beat this virus and come through this together.
